This workshop shows you how to master the amazing world of Macro photography, by allowing you to take a closer look and discover the details and never-ending curiosities of nature with Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden as your back drop. Photographer and college professor Tony Chirinos will teach you about magnification ranges, as well as various optical and mechanical methods for getting close to your subject.
Issues of critical focus and depth-of-field, techniques for camera support and vibration control as well as lighting will be explained. There will also be discussion on using your camera on a tripod vs handheld. Lastly, the introduction of flash photography as means to artificially illuminate your subject matter.
