Awards Ceremony and Exhibition Opening night

The Vision Excellence Awards 2018 Opening Cocktail and Ceremony night was a great success. We were delighted to see all of you who came to support the Miami Photo Center and enjoy this evening with us.

The Miami Photo Center presented the Exhibition of the 4 winners of the Vision Excellence Awards 2018.

The Vision Excellence Awards have been created to give photographers a platform to exhibit and help them promote their work to a wide selection of professionals in the field. During a month the work of the winners will be exhibited at Miami International University of Art & Design.

Applicants were given the possibility to present their work in 4 different categories. This year winner were:

Unleash Your Creativity Portrait category Winner : Reka Nyari .

Fine Art category Winner : Daisy Johnson

Shooting the World category Winner: Pieter de Vos

Unleash your Creativity Open Exhibit category Winner: Mikhail Batrak

Reka Nyari was also the overall winner with the most amount of votes from the judges and won the following prizes:

An Epson Surecolor P800 17” printer, a Box of 25 Epson Legacy Baryta Paper 17” x 22” , a Hahnemühle Portfolio Box with 50 sheets of Fine Art Baryta Satin Edition, 50 Hahnemühle interleaf sheets, 3 Hahnemühle Certificates of Authenticity, and 1 pair of Hahnemühle gloves.

The Vision Excellence Awards Opening Cocktail and Ceremony took place at the Miami International University of Art & Design, located in the heart of Miami Art & Entertainment at 1501 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL 33132 .

Miami Street Photography Festival 2018

DECEMBER 6-9, 2018 at History Miami Museum

The Miami Photo Center is happy to be a partner of the Miami Street Photography Festival. We will be present at History Miami Museum during the duration of the festival and we will be offering 3 workshops during the festival.

The MSPF Street Photography Contest is a widely recognized competition in street photography in the world. Each year the most prestigious and knowledgeable panel of judges in the genre select ​the best of contemporary street photography known as the MSPF FINALISTS.

​ Being an MSPF FINALIST is a prestigious honor, and as such, they are all displayed in a printed exhibition in galleries in Miami and Milan, giving them unparalleled exposure to art critics, collectors, publishers and the art community in general. Many past MSPF FINALISTS have seen their career blossomed as a result of the exposure gained by being selected as a finalists og the Miami Street Photography Festival contest.

MSPF Miami Photo Series Contest
​​The Miami Photo Series is a MSPF competition that celebrates its home city of Miami. The contest calls for your best images dedicated to documenting life in Miami and all surrounding areas. Participants are required to submit a series of 5-7 images exploring a theme inspired by the Magic City. Only images taken in Miami and immediate urban south Florida areas will be considered.

MSPF International Series Contest
​​This year we are launching our first International Series Contest. Participants are required to submit a series of 5-7 images that form a cohesive body of work in the street/documentary genre. The series can reflect a specific  photography project of a topic, place or people or it can be a group of photographs that have a theme that ties them together. The top three series, determined by a very experienced group of judges, will be exhibited in Miami during Art Basel, one of the top art events in the world
